Chocolate Fudge Birthday Cake Ingredients:
-2 cups all-purpose flour
-1 cup cocoa powder
-2 teaspoons baking powder
-1 teaspoon baking soda
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1 cup butter, softened
-2 cups sugar
-1 cup sour cream
-1 teaspoon vanilla extract
-2 cups mini chocolate chips
-1/2 cup butter, softened
-3 cups powdered sugar
-2 teaspoons vanilla extract
-2 tablespoons cocoa powder
-2 tablespoons milk
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9x9 square cake pan.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating until smooth.
Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined. Stir in the sour cream and vanilla extract until the batter is smooth. Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
