Pumpkin Pie Recipe
- 1 9-inch deep dish pie crust
- 2 cups canned pumpkin puree
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, and nutmeg. Mix well.
- Add the eggs to the pumpkin mixture and mix until smooth.
- Gradually stir in the evaporated milk until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pie crust.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and continue baking for an additional 40-50 minutes, or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool on a wire rack.
- Once completely cooled, refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
